Lead-based paint is often present on and within structures that were constructed prior to 1978, including residential, commercial, industrial and public buildings. The presence of lead-based paint should be taken into account during any renovation or demolition project and this is especially true when dealing with child occupied facilities.

While children are most vulnerable to lead poisoning, lead-based paint also poses a hazard to workers involved with the disturbance or removal of lead-based paint. As such, there are established federal regulations governing the licensing requirements for workers dealing with this hazard. It is crucial to perform preliminary testing in order to identify potential lead-based paint hazards so that environmental compliance can be ensured.

AIM Environmental employs a staff of USEPA licensed lead-based paint inspectors and risk assessors who are experienced in performing lead-based paint inspections as well collecting dust wipe and air samples associated with post-remediation area clearance requirements. Our personnel is trained and certified in the use of state of the art technology, such as X-ray Fluorescence, to allow testing to be completed using non-destructive means and in a time-efficient manner.
